Just finished my Family Tree on my computer. (Constructed with hundreds of Folders! Scanned over 2,000 Photos!) Been working on my Music Collection. Up to over 1,200 of my favorite songs. Rock, Oldies, Disco, Pop, Rap & Hip Hop, Chicano Rap, Tejano and Lowrider Oldies (OLD SCHOOL!). Bought $5-$10 CDs (Greatest Hits!) at Walmart.com and then copy the best songs into my computer and download them to my Cellphone.
Don't keep up with the current or new Music or Artists. Not interested! I got plenty to listen to. The only one I'm familiar with is Taylor Swift, hanging out at all of the Kansas City Chiefs football games, rooting for her boyfriend, Travis Kelce. (They just lost the Super Bowl to the Philadelphia Eagles.)
The last 3 CDs I bought were The Doors (Jim Morrison) and the Movie Soundtracks, FLASHDANCE & SCHOOL OF ROCK! Flashdance came out in 1983 starring Jennifer Beals as a Dancer and Ballerina. It includes 'What a Feeling' by Irene Cara and 'Maniac' by Michael Sembello, both Hits. The song 'Gloria!' by Laura Branigan is in the movie but not on the Soundtrack. Contract dispute! Had to purchase it separately. Great song!
School of Rock came out in 2003, starring Jack Black as a ROCKER! Comedy. He puts together a Rock Band of young students to compete in the Battle of the Bands. Includes the song ' It's a Long Way to the Top' by AC/DC (Sung by Jack), 'School of Rock' main theme song, 'Immi...Expand for more
grant Song' by Led Zeppelin, and 'Edge of Seventeen' by Stevie Nicks (Fleetwood Mac), to name a few. It's a good, funny movie with some good Rock & Roll. Sarah Silverman, the Comedian, also stars in the movie. She's Jack's best friend's girlfriend and they all live together. She can't stand him and gives him hell throughout the movie! She plays the 'Villain'.
Can't wait till I'm all finished up, so I can take a break from my computer! It's been years of hard work, including putting together my Family Tree. A lot of Obituary research! Have shared it with all my 'Familia' and Relatives in the Rio Grande Valley. My Grandparents and Great Grandparents were from Mexico. During the Mexican Revolutions of 1910-20 (Pancho Villa & Emiliano Zapata), they migrated to Texas, along with millions allowed into the United States during that time. The farmers of Texas and California wanted the cheap Labor to work in the fields. And the government back then approved it! Now, they want to Deport all of us, born here or not! My Mom was born in Texas, U.S.A., in 1928! I was 'Born in the U.S.A.!' also, in 1955! Remember the comedy movie 'Born in East L.A.' with Cheech Marin? (Cheech & Chong!). Well, not so funny now, right! Paul Rodriguez, another old Comedian, was also.in the movie. It came out in 1987. Check it out! If I do get deported back to Mexico, I hope they send me to Acapulco or Cancun!
I remember picking cotton myself, in the Summer of 1963! I was 7 yrs. old. There was a lot of Child Labor back in those days. They needed every nickel & dime to survive. Then my family moved to San Antonio. Alright! No cotton fields in S.A., ese! No que no!
