Daniel's Story
Life
I attended Reno High School from 1965-1967 and dropped out to join the Army, where I eventually got my GED, and ended up going to Vietnam in 1968. I was first assigned to the 6/84th arty at An Khe and when our unit was overrun at LZ Crystal, it was deactivated and I was infused to the 5/22 arty and. I was a cook, but I got into a lot of trouble and soon was put to work on the guns as a cannoneer.
I have since made some very radical changes in my life, and have settled in Fairfield, Ca. with my wife and ten year old son. We live in a nice, newer subdivision, nestled near the rolling, green hills of...Expand for more
South Western Fairfield. My wife is a computer programmer, and I work for the County of Contra Costa, as a building inspector.
College
I was very late in entering college, and I attended a two -year program at WNCC in Reno. I was discharged from the Army in 1967 and didn't go to college until 1975. I received an Associate in Liberal Arts in 1977, and that was enough for me. I think I did it more to prove to myself that I could actually finish some kind of school, with good grades, after dropping out of high school in the eleventh grade. I was married at the time, and also working full time in a casino.
