Daniela's Story
Life
Daniela Saioni is a graduate of the Humber Comedy Screenwriting Program (Â04) and York Film & Video Production (BFA,Â91).
Daniela has worked in the film and television industry for 16 years, first as a production manager and researcher in documentary, and then as a script supervisor on over 110 hours of television series and 16 feature films ("My Big Fat Greek Wedding", "Soul Food: The Series", "The Boondock Saints") in seven countries.
Daniela began acting in community theatre as a teenager in late-eighties
Toronto. After university, she continued her work in production while pursuing her actor training privately with renowned Meisner teacher, Jacqueline McClintock.
After a decade of work as a script supervisor, at the encouragement of William H. Macy and others, she formally began her career as a professional actress.

een scene partners have included Harvey Keitel ("The Path to 9/11") and Sela Ward ("Suburban Madness"), among others. In addition to actor roles in feature film and TV, she has played a variety of lead and supporting character roles in numerous short films.
In 2007, she makes her international theatrical debut in the indie German feature "JonathanÂs Journey" and the UK romantic comedy "A Previous Engagement".
Daniela is also featured on the cover of the January 2007 issue of Pennsylvania arts magazine "The One".
Daniela is a full member of ACTRA and IATSE 873, and is a dual citizen of Canada and Italy. She has written and directed two short films ("Rites", "First Person Plural"), both of which aired on Canadian television and played in international film festivals.
She was formerly married to actor Jarred Blancard and now lives a happy single life in downtown Toronto.
