Danny's Story
I graduated from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Accounting in 1993. I am still single and have never been married though have had a few relationships where I came close to marriage.
I have worked as a self-employed accountant for most of my career. I have always worked with a small clientele. The last couple of years a few of my clients had setbacks, so my business went down and I decided to go back to school with the goal of becoming an International Accountant. I started taking classes in Spanish at UAH in Fall 2004.
I spent six weeks abroad in Mexico during May and June of 2007 where I took a 2 week course and had a 4 week non-paid internship. ...Expand for more
Most of my time was in the state of Guanajuato, and I had visits to the states of Queretaro and Estado de Mexico as well as Mexico City where I spent one weekend.
In May 2008 I completed a Bachelor of Arts in Foreign Lanuage (Spanish) with a minor in International Business graduating Magna Cum Laude from UAH.
Earflier in the year I applied to the Master of Arts in Spanish program at Auburn University and was accepted with Auburn paying full tuition and also I have a position as a Graduate Teaching Assistant with a monthly stipend. Not having a position in International Accounting like I want, I accepted this position and will start in August.
