Danny's Story
I was Senior class president in 1975. I joined the Army Band after High School and was stationed at Fort Bragg and then Fort Myer. I performed as soloist with the Fife and Drum Corp with the President's Own, The Old Guard of the Army.
I worked briefly in Washington,DC and then attended Northern Virginia Community College where I Studied flute with Wendell Dobbs of Pershing's Own The United States Army Band also at Fort Myer. the GMU Symphony Orchestra under Colonel Arnold Gabriel and then studied flute with Dr. Francis Averitt at Shenandoah Conservatory of Shenandoah University. I also studied voice with Michael Forrest of the Metropolitan Opera, coached in acting with Robert Duval, and won several concerto competitions on flute.
I taught public and private school for five years and then I was married for the first time in 2006 while in Goldsboro, N.C. I currently live in Asheville, NC where I perform music regularly and acting in local theater shows.
