Danny's Story
HI, I am Dan Kent. I attended Camey Elementry from 1977 to 1981. Mr Ron Underwood was my principal. I liked him very much. My most remebered teacher was Mrs weber(tiffanys' mom) my least favorite teacher was Mrs.? I remeber your face lol The friends I remember are: Carter Hickman (brought us the stuffed Cobra in the trophy Cabinet) Shaun and Shane (twins) I still have a BB in my ear from Jarret Riggs BB gun fight with us. and Michael Stuart. I remeber alot of people who were not my friends also. Biggest Crush: Kimberly Shipman(did not know I was alive) My best friend was Chris Carpenter.I had alot of trouble then in my life, I had an abusive step father, and my parents Got a divorce,I had to move the year 6th grade started to a run down rat hole place in Oak cliff Texas. I no longer really cared about anything but getting out of that place. We moved to Arlington, Texas. and things got better for me there. The students and faculty there seemed to care about you more. You could succeed there if you chose to. when I was finished with school, I met a Girl from Mansfield who I thought the Sun came up for in the Morning.. We had a child together in 1990. child having three parents(me,the mom, the moms mom!) I never drank, or got high, they have never been an Issue for me, I don't need either to live life. I left that girl and Baby when she turned 18 moths old. Pride is a very stupid and stubborn trait we are born with. I regret not being the Man and Parent I should have been for them. Hindsight is 20/20, we have all heard that, I suffer from it still.
In the present time, I am married to a great women who takes Great care to raise my boys to be good students(A B Honor roll) be polite and courteous to all. And most importantly, Perservere!
I work for an Asset Managment company out of Union,Mo. I travel all over the United States to companies that are down-sizing,or closing down completly. We do valuation of their asssets, photograph them, write the specs, then hold an on-line and live auction to sell them to other companies. The job is Great, not something you would of heard of in school, I guess thats why I excel at it. It is not a cookie-cutter position you can sit in a class for a year or two and learn. Degrees are nice, Security is better. My youngest brother is a Flight Surgeon in the Army, He has one of the only jobs I would be intrested in doing if I did not have mine... more later
