Darla's Story
Life
B.S. MTSU 1992 Elementary Education; I am currently teaching 7th grade science at Smyrna Middle School in Rutherford Co.,TN and living in Nashville, TN after spending five years at Eastside Elementary in Rock Island, TN. (I also spent a few years at McMinnville Big Lots along the way.) Recently divorced, and mother to one amazing son who lives with his father.
My hobbies (past and present) include karaoke, computers, writing, softball, basketball, school web page design, making hemp necklaces/bracelets, and challenging your thinking.
I have a gorgeous son who is a high school junior (a year ahead of schedule), and is going to give Bob Dylan a run for his money as the World's Greatest Folk singer. He's already got the market cornered in his age bracket.
I'm recently divorced after 15 years of marriage. Like everything else I do, it's not conventional. We are extremely civil, and he has been extremely understanding of my psychoses. I'm now in the process of rediscovering myself, if I ever had a clue about who I was in the first place. If you knew me, feel free to contact me! I could use the insight! LOL

m now aware that I'm funny, intelligent, much cuter than I ever was in school, and quite a talented singer. (I finally developed my soprano range. Watch out Celine & Mariah) When I'm not in therapy, I am usually training to become a better science teacher or amateur writer. I have also become a Karaoke Queen complete with a collection of about 200 disks.
Mom passed away in 1999, and those of you that knew her know that she is much better off. My sister is losing her job at Mallory, but she's going back to school which she should have done years ago. She's going to be much happier. Dad's still drinking, but he's still married, so hey.. not too bad.
I'm not well at this particular moment, but fear not. I'm going to be fantastic soon! Your prayers and well wishes are greatly apreciated. My new philosophy includes two major elements: 1) To thine own self be true. 2) In order to accomplish #1, be honest FIRST and foremost.
