Darlena's Story
Life
After graduating from Pueblo High, I went to college at Lee University in Cleveland, TN. After finishing my Bachelor's Degree in Christian Education, I worked for a non-profit Child Care facility in Cleveland for 3 years. In 2002 I married James (Jamie)Watson, also a graduate of Lee University in Christian Education. Jamie began working on his Master's Degree 6 months before our wedding. So, after the wedding, I moved to Chicago where he was attending Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. 5 months later, he was accepted into the University of Montana (Missoula) to finish out his Master's Deg...Expand for more
ree in Philosophy, which he finished in June of 2004. Meanwhile, I worked for a trucking company in the a/p division. In April of 2005, Jamie was accepted to the PhD program at FSU (Florida State, Tallahassee). We moved to Tallahassee, FL in August of 2005 and bought a house in July of 2006. I worked for an accounting firm as an office manager, then as a staff accountant. After my husband graduated with his PhD, he got a job teaching at Young Harris College in Young Harris, GA. I work for a CPA in Blue Ridge, GA and am currently enrolled in college once again. I am working toward becoming a CPA.
