Darlene's Story
I've lived in Pittsburg all of my life along with my 9 brother and sisters. I went to El Pueblo Elementary school from Kindergarten thru 6th grade. I attended Central Jr. High and graduated from Pittsburg high in 1968. I got married to Willie Mims in 1967 and we are still married 42 years later. We have 2 children, a daughter, Dana and a son, Marcus. we have 6 grandchildren. I graduated from CSU at San Francisco and did my graduate studies in Special Education at St. Mary's College. I've taught school for many years and finished my last 5 years ...Expand for more
teaching at Central Jr. high school. I'm not working anymore but I spend my time researching Genealogy reading, gardening and doing whatever I want to do. We have traced my mother's side of the family to about 1760 on the Irish side (yeah, yeah) and to about 1810 on the African side. I also love Jazz and like to My life is great, I have a great husband and children and I happy to say that I do anything that I want to do, no restrictions, no appointments that I must keep.....its great. We have 6 grandchildren, 4 biological and 2 step grandchildren.
