Darrell's Story
Life
Greetings to one and all:
As we get older, we reflect on our past experiences. I have many that I am fond of and some I am proud of. If I could go back in time and change anything in my life. . . I wouldn't. I would not be the man I am today if I did that, and I am ok with that. However, there are a few people and friends that I would like to sit down with and talk to. Some things require closure and other things just require my apologies. Many of you are in my thoughts almost every day. Those of you who touched my life and made a difference. I want to thank you for that, but don't know how to reach you. And those of you that I offended or hurt by my selfishness, neglect, or pride, I would like to apologize also, but again, how do I reach you. To issue a "blanket" statement of apology or admiration is not acceptable for me or deserving to you, and cannot do you or I any justice. I will do all that I can to reach each and everyone of you. If anyone reads this, contact me, please. I would really like to hear from everyone. I will be looking forward to hearin...Expand for more
g from anyone from good old Valley High. Take care of yourself, and God bless.
Workplace
The header listing is for Signature Label. I do not work there any longer. Challenging work, enjoyed it a great deal, but I just needed a break from factory life for a while. It's been almost 6 years since I left, and have given thought of a return engagement, but it's hard to give up the fresh air and sunshine.
Currently I deliver LP gas to residential houses for heating and cooking and also to farms for agriculture use. In off season, we have maintainence and up-keep on our tanks and equipment. I also fill and deliver anhydrous amonia tanks for agriculture use, drive a "nurse" truck for our spray "custom applicator" guys, and pretty much do what needs to be done. We have a good team work environment where we all have to wear "many hats". 98% of it all is outside, and after too many years inside, I enjoy being outdoors, even at -10 or 110 degrees. Rain or shine, snow or sleet. But the years are catching up with me, the knees and elbows just ain't what they used to be.
