Darrell's Story

Life Started grade school in Bremerhaven, Germany till 2nd grade, moved to Alexandria, VA and went to Bucknell Elementary till 6th grade. Moved to Montana, still here! Wouldn't trade this wide-open country for anything, nearest neighbor is 6 miles away, town is 10. Plenty of room for radio antennas as I am an active ham radio operator, plus room for runways for ultralight aircraft which I also enjoy. Ride a customized Harley-Davidson FLT Tour-Glide and collect and restore classic cars. Email for more info if you remember me at all... d Electronic Engineering. Got those by challenging the college exams rather then attending classes. Kind of curious if anyone I knew at Bucknell is still around...Sam Sloan, Tim Littlepage, Rick Sisson, Jim Taylor, etc. Workplace Started out at 10 working on the family farm, 3,500 acre dryland wheat and barley operation. Worked there until '88, when farm sold. Still have 160 acres and the home place (my home). Was a volunteer Search and Rescue member since high school, that led into my present position, Disaster and Emergency Services Coordinator. I handle two counties, Toole and Liberty. Responsible to the county commissioners, I do the planning, training and some grant work relating to our emergency responders. Been in that position for 12 years now, get to work at home, loving every minute of it!
