Darren's Story
Life
After graduation, I went to Dillard University, and earned a BA in Accounting. Stayed in New Orleans another few years, and moved to Chocolate City (Washington, D.C.). Like my adopted city, but ready to come home NOW.
Currently working as a Lead Grants Management Spclst/Team Leader for HHS/HRSA in Rockville, MD. Do a little consulting (fiscal management) for non profit organizations (minority/poc).
Spend free time working on my home, and tending to my two Russian Tortoises (William and Willaina) and my Russian Grey Mix cat (Boris). Other...Expand for more

Have attended ALL Reunions for c/o 80 and both were off da hook.

Workplace
Currently working for the Fed with HHS/HRSA, as a Lead Grants Management Specialist. Oversee various system projects and developing an e-grants processing system.
My work has taken me to Africa on several occasions to provide TA to grantee organizations in Africa & Europe as well as meet with other federal partners in developing and implementing agency priorities.
