Life I graduated from the University of Arizona in 1970 and received my Master's Degree in Corrections from Xavier in 1980. I just retired in January 2002 after working in forensic psychiatry, mental retardation, mental health, and foster care. My foster care work was the most fun when I was in charge of recruitment and became totally immersed in community development where I started a couple organizations focusing on kids that are still viable 10+ years later. I have two kids - a daughter who has an 18 month old son and 5 year old daughter and a son who has an 18 year old son. I kind of think that my daughter planned to have her first baby once she learned that I was retiring since I spend a lot of time over there helping out. My son is an electrician and my daughter has been a middle and high school teacher for 8 years. My 18 year old grandson is crazy about cars, has restored a couple and received a job, full scholarship to auto mechanics school plus $4,000 worth of tools right after he graduated from high school. I don't know about anyone else who is retired but, so far, I have barely touched on any of the major projects that I planned to do. I also wonder how I found time to work since family, friends, pets, internet, traveling, music, keep me busy. I think I am also catching up on all the 50+ hour weeks that I used to put in before I retired. I have always enjoyed listening to music and have a huge collection of records, tapes and CDs. I used to finance my habit by buying CDs cheap to trade or sell to distributors. During 2004, most of my sources dried up or did not want to trade or purchase my stuff.
