Marsha?...Well...I went from de Sales to CC for High School: I had no idea I wouldn't be seeing any of my grade school 'chums'again, and that always bothered me. I was quiet at CC; never a joiner, moved to Livonia w/ folks senior year. Bounced around a few Community Colleges, w/ out direction-some Accounting- some Business. Worked briefly at News and Free Press as a 'paperhandler' , as well as running Thunderline Corporation(well...Midnight Supervisor!) in Wayne, MI. Finally got hired in at UPS Livonia in '74. Worked ther from '74 'til I got injured in '98, lost pension , etc.,. (I like to say I worked 75 years at UPS, but only got paid for 25!!ha, ha!). BUT!....I did meet my future wife, and best Friend, Patty, there, so!... Wwe lived in various places in Detroit and Livonia until we moved to Chelsea farm in '88. Very fun- Hard work running a small pumpkin business'til I got injured. Patty and I have adopted 5 older"special" needs kids ...Expand for more
