Dave's Story
Last time I used this was 5 years ago. It was 2004 and I was getting ready to retire from the Kettering Police Department where I served for 25 years as an Officer. While I was In HS I was a Law enforcement Explorer and it gave me a heads up on what my carrer was to be. Having 5 years away from the job has not changed me a whole lot other than I like sleeping in instead of getting up at 5:30 am. I have a 13 year old daughter who loves various forms of Dance and a 16 year old son who is taller than me. He must have gotten his height from his great grandpa. He has been playing basketball since about age 2. Life became easier this year he can drive himself to practices. I'm keeping busy training new drivers at PDS driving school. a police officer as now I can try to get the kids on the right track rather than having to give them a ticket for a violation. I also teach firearms to adults at Sim-Trainer in Moraine on Dryden Rd. I mostly do 1 on 1 training there but ocassionaly help with classes for Ohio's Concealed Carry training.
Well since it is reunion year I guess I'll sign up for this service again.
One thing that I found out, at least in my case that if you grew up south as I did that moving north of Dayton never felt like home. My wife and I lived in Huber Heights for 13 years and then we bought land by Hidden Valley Fruit farm in 1996 and built in 2000. I now feel like I'm "back home" again.
