Dave's Story
Volunteered for the Air Force in November 1977. Worked 10 years as an airborne Russian Linguist flying 210 covert Cold War reconnaissance missions aboard RC-135 Rivet Joint aircraft. I was stationed in England near Cambridge and lived there over 7+ years. Met my wife while stationed in England and we married in 1983. Mountains of PA. Moved to the Houston area in 1996 ÃÂÃÂ to work as a software architect for Compaq Computer Corporation (great company). Hewlett Packard bought Compaq in 2001. ÃÂÃÂ Got laid off from HP in October 2009 working as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt doing statistical analysis of business processes designing ways to make them more efficient. With the economy in a shambles and all job prospects requiring me to move the famiy away from Houston I decided to retire early in 2011.ÃÂÃÂ
