Dave's Story
Life
I went to El Camino for Frosh and Soph years (58 59) then transferred to Encina for Jr, Sr years (60, 61).
After graduation got into the record business, retail CBSS then wholesale in San Francisco, then got into Radio.
'68 moved to Houston, TX. Programmed KRBE (hated Texas).'69 back to Sac, worked on KXOA under my old friend Jack Hammar.1970 LDMZ at aol (email me) . Moved to Stockton to become Program Director of KSTN. After 10 years went into video and pinball biz, opened Supercade just as PacMan became national phenomenon. Jackpot! Sold the biz in 1993 and retired. Now I just relax and enjoy life any way I can. I'm married to my high school sweetheart Martha Ray. We have two beautiful daughters. One is flying with Southwest, the other is enjoying her life and part time modelling.
What about you would surprise everyone at your high school reunion? probably that I've stayed married to the same woman for 38 years.-

Idea 28 of 30
In 10 years, I hope to be Alive. I'm going to get there by taking life easy along the way.
I always wanted to be a doctor or dentist when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a Great idea. As it turns out, they were right, I should have stuck with it. But life has turned out well any...Expand for more
way.
I like to play a lot of music - LOUD! Rock'n'Roll has been a big part of my life.
MUSIC! That's my obsession along with my family. what else do you need after food, shelter , and clothing?
Shirt, shoes, pants, and a sports coat. didn't wear the jacket so much in school.
I share my home with my wife, whom I find regularly....
I have several gold records on my walls from my radio days. We played and "broke" several big national hits over the years at KSTN. Remember "When The Lights Go Down In The City"by Journey? We played it first.
"Run With The Devil" by Van Halen?
How about "What You Won't Do For Love", bY BOBBY CALDWELL? He came to the station and presented the gold record to me personally for helping his song get started. You probably hear it regularly on easy listening and oldies stations as well as in elevators everywhere.
Andrea True gave me a gold record for "More, More, More" and Dolly Parton gave me a plaque in appreciation for playing "Heartbreaker" I'm sure it was good, but I can't recall the tune right now.
One of my favorite awards came from RCA. When Elvis died, They presented me with a beautiful memorial plaque reading to:",
"DAVE MORGAN, IN APPRECIATION, THE KING 1935-1977" with a painting of Elvis.
RCA said I deserved it because we played Elvis while he was alive.
