Life
I am no longer the sports editor or general assignment reporter for the Culpeper Times in Culpeper, Va. Nobody is either of them, actually. Sometimes jobs just have to be put out of their misery. Hope springs eternal, however, and sometimes it springs Nimfernal, which is why I've decided to spring my new book, "Nimbus After Dark: Late Night Confessions of Southern Maryland's Sexiest Synthetic Rock Band" (co-written with Steve "Hott Lixx" Dennis) on everybody this spring (April 19; mark your rock calendars). I call it NAD for short, because, hey, classy.
In my spare time, I analyze death metal lyrics for a D.C.-based death metal research institute and help out at the local retired stevedores home.
Also, I win awards! In 2003, I won the York County Chamber of Florists' ...Expand for more
coveted Nosegay of the Year Award. The judges were mightily impressed by the audacious manner in which I mingled actinomorphic and zygomorphic flowers together. The botannical community was shocked by this decision, but in time learned to hail me as a genius.
In addition to all that nonsense, you can see me every Tuesday on the York cable access show "Soccer Week In Review," where I chat with people who, depending on your point of view, are either soccer fans or mentally ill. (Answer: mentally ill.)
UPDATE: I am now a sportswriter at The Messenger in Madisonville, Ky. And the book has been put on hold. Plot twists galore! It's like a soap opera, which is why Victor will soon be revealed as the father of my long-lost twin sister's evil baby. Oh Victor, you lovable cad!
