Dave's Story
Life
I have been teaching Middle school Industrial ED (Shop) for 35 years I have retired for good June 8 2008
I have one son, born in 1983, who is working on the BNSF in Minot ND, I am now in Minot ND
I AM GRANDFATHER!
Ready to spoil my grand daughter, and Two grandsons
Grand daughter has the same initials as my mom HLP and was born 4 hours after my mother passed away.
Mom must have helped Haley Lynn into this world
Son's marriage did not take he is remarried to a wonderful girl.
I also have 4 step daughters and one step son and
(11 grand children 8 boys 3 girls)
School
In Northport high school I was in Marching band, Orchestra and Choir, I was on the Bowling team but my dad made me quit because of grades.
Crushes? heck I liked many girls but never knew it till I
started to look back on High School there were "rules"
never go after a friend's ex or sister, never go after a girl who said she liked your friend, do not say the wrong thing you could be...Expand for more

College
After High school I attended Oswego State upstate
when my Dad retired and moved to Arizona
I visited the family over Christmas and got a sunburn
I returned to Oswego and I was up to my Backside in snow so I transferred to Arizona State University.
I have done Grad work at UCLA, ASU, NAU,
and University of Phoenix.
Workplace
I worked in Food service during High school and College.
I have taught Middle & High School "Shop" for 35 years with time teaching Health, Math & PE.
I have taught near Douglas AZ, in Phoenix AZ, in Scottsdale AZ. in Tempe AZ & Yuma AZ the last 16 years in Yuma.
I also have officiated Sports for over 30 years
I retired from officiating in 2004.
Military
I had a draft Number of 28
but could not join any service due to ruptured ear drums but my son did serve in the navy
I always wanted to be a Teacher when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a Good idea. As it turns out, they were right.
