Dave's Story
After 24 years in the Navy I retired and moved to a new phase in my life I spent the next couple of years looking for something that would challenge me. I started as a training specialist working on updating training for the HM-14 Helicopters at Naval Air Station Norfolk. I then went to another contractor to work on training for the Navy F-14. . Then I found a position at ManTech International. I started as training Analyst working on devel0pment of computer based training to be used for all phases of training. he last 15 of those years, and moved into the position of loving and devoted husband to my beautiful wife Betty. In 1996 we celebrated our 50th anniversary by taking a cruise of the English Isles. We spent our first week just running around in London, then boarded our ship in Southampton England. we spent the next two and a half weeks enjoying Ireland (North and South) , Wales, Scotland, the Shetland Islands. We missed Brussels because I got an ear infection and couldn't leave the ship while we were in port there. Great trip.
My Betty contracted a rare form of cancer (Merkle Cell Carcinoma) in 2015 and fought it bravely for the next 5 years. She passed away July 7, 2020. I am still living in Virginia Beach, Virginia, missing her and just plugging on.
