David Andrew's Story
David Kaniski¿s work has been seen throughout the world in hundreds of productions. David has designed for numerous international touring artists including, Brandy, Toni Braxton, Gnarls Barkley, Mary J. Blige, Kelly Clarkson, Kenny ¿Babyface¿ Edmonds, Jane¿s Addiction, Jimmy Eat World, Lyle Lovette, Jesse McCartney, No Doubt, Lisa Marie Presley, The Offspring, Puddle of Mudd, Smashmouth, Third Eye Blind, Yes and Yanni...to name a few.
He is Production Designer for the ASA Action Sports World Tour and also worked closely with legendary skateboarder Tony Hawk as Creative Director on Tony Hawks¿ BoomBoom HuckJam Tour in 2005.
On the 1993 TV Special ¿Yanni, Live at the Acropolis¿ Mr. Kaniski created lighting for a magical performance at the ancient Herod Atticus Theatre under the glowing Parthenon. Subsequently, the concert received an Emmy Nomination for Outstanding Individual achievement in Lighting Direction and was broadcast on PBS quickly becoming one of their most popular programs, selling more than 7 million copies worldwide.

David became the first permitted to light the Taj
Mahal in India for television and then illuminated the Forbidden City in Beijing, China.
Brad Goode of KCET later commented ¿The gleaming white façade of the Taj Mahal awash
with 1000 lights is definitely one of the most striking images ever seen on television.¿ David was later honored with an Emmy Nomination for his work.
He has designed countless other TV shows, special events, corporate and theatre projects including the 55th Annual Writers Guild Awards, 14th Annual GLAAD Awards, Musicares
Foundation ¿Person of the Year¿ Awards, Emmy Awards Governors Ball, Amway International
Events, Experience Music Project ¿ Artist Journey¿, Jim Rome Tour Stops, Promise Keepers, and the Rainforest Foundation.
Mr. Kaniski has also been guest lecture for UCLA¿s Pacific Roads Program, Citrus Colleges
Kenshu Program, High End Systems Hog Academy, and guest panelist for Production Lights and Staging News Seminars.
He has been married to his High School Sweetheart, Christine (York) for 20+ years. They have two children, Ryan and Rylee.
