David's Story
Life
Where I live:
My wife and I are currently living in a suburb of Houston, Texas called Spring, and love it here. Considering retiring in the Austin area, but no decisions have been made, since we are both still working!
My Pets:
We recently lost our little dog named Bailey due to Cushing's Disease.. He was our "high maintenance" child. We loved him dearly, and will miss him very much!
My wife:
I have been married to my wife, Janelle for 34 years and she still puts up with me. Meeting her was the best thing that could have ever happened to me along with my 2 terrific kids and their families. I feel very fortunate!
My Kids:
My daughter, Britney is a Special Ed Teacher, working with children with Asberger's Syndrome in the Leander ISD in Austin, TX. Her husband, Erik is an Advertising Analyst in Austin. My son, Travis is an Internal Medicine Doctor, a Staff Physician providing Indigent Health Care through Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard University, ...Expand for more
and Boston's Homeless Health Care program. He is also Director of Homeless Health Care research. His wife, Meridale is a teaching doctor (Hospitalist) at MGH. They have a precious little girl named Sylvia who was born Oct 27th, 2009. Being someone's "Paw Paw" is one of the greatest jobs I've ever had.
Workplace:
I have had several careers. For while, in my younger days, I was a travel director for an incentive travel company in St Louis. I traveled extensively and had the opportunity to do things I could not have otherwise afforded to do. Getting married changed all that, and I worked for AT&T in Global Services Sales for 23 years and then accepted an early retirement offer in 1998. Since then, I have worked in the financial industry with GE Money. I am not actually retiring anytime soon, as I really enjoy what I am doing. My wife, Janelle works in the Spring ISD, and was previously working in the Carrollton/Farmers Branch ISD. She will be retiring next year.
