I, thankfully, have come a long way since high school. So much happier. My family moved around a few times after leaving my 10th grade year at Upper Merion, so I ended up going to 2 more high schools in Minnesota and Michigan. Because of all my moving growing up, I have stayed put here in Michigan, not wanting to subject my kids to having to move around. I decided to support rival universities, attending both Michigan State University and University of Michigan, ending up with a Masters in Social Work. I explored a variety of options within the social work field (community action, psychiatric hospitals, medical social work, and outpatient mental health) before settling into my current job as a school social worker working with deaf kids.
