DAVID's Story
After grade 13 I studied abnormal & clinical psych. at Laurier U then took advanced abnormal psych. & human anatomy at U of G, graduated from there after 6 years with an M. Sc. Loved the academic life there! I worked for Canada Manpower and Unemployment Canada before working for the Ministry of Correctional Services. I was there for 34 years classifying inmates for referral to our treatment facilities. Taught family violence with my daughter for the courts after retirement till I was 74. My son has worked in the Oil & Gas industry since graduating high school. I now travel the world with my wife! WOW, doesn't life go by in a blink! Guess now we sit in God's waiting room for the call! Advice to the young 'uns, DON'T GROW OLD!

dered by an infatuated stalker who then killed himself and the other was a band member I'd known for years. Her dad, an M D used to drive us to band practice every morning. We'd just returned from a western Canada band tour when she died of leukemia. I took it hard, I guess Maribeth noticed I was going through some turmoil and reached out to befriend and console me by inviting me to the Sadie Hawkins dance that fall. After graduation she tried numerous times to reconnect with me, but I was always back in London partying and running wild so after a few years she just gave up. In retrospect I think I should have met her half- way as I have never met anyone who was as brilliant, caring, and persistent as she was. She carried herself with such poise and quiet dignity, leaving behind a legacy of grace. The world feels dimmer without her light, and those who knew her will forever feel the absence of her gentle strength.
