David's Story
Life
After graduation from Reynolds, I earned math degrees at Davidson College and Vanderbilt University. I began my work career with The MITRE Corporation, Bedford Massachusetts.
My first son David was born in 1967 in Nashville, TN while I was in graduate school. My second son Jon was born in 1979 on Hahn Air Force Base, West Germany.
Following my 12 years at MITRE, I spent the next 17 years in other various positions working on computer security: the National Computer Security Center, Trusted Information Systems, my own company BBND, Galaxy, The MITRE Corporation (again), Mitretek Systems, and EDS.

arried in 1993, winning the heart of Kate Arndt, a self-proclaimed "country girl" from Shawano, WI. We have lived in Reston VA for 15 years now.
This June, 2000, I retired, quit. I am just as busy as ever, just not at work. Son Jon is working for Jott in Seattle, WA. Son David, the linguist in the family with fluent German, French, and Russian, lives in Geneva and provides computer expertise for a price.
Following the attacks, I un-retired. I helped the Air Force from 2001-2002 then returned to MITRE from 2002-2005. I have retired again.
