David's Story
Life
I graduated in '87. I used to have long hair and I sang in a metal band called VSD which also included Joe Wolak, Jack Denning, Shane McBride, Ed Burns, and Bunky Engelke. I don't have long hair any more but I still have a goatee. I married Heather Rider in 1998 and we have a daughter, Krissy, born in 2000. I have been riding Harleys for the last 10 yrs but in March '07 I was run over and my bike was totalled. I am a construction superintendent. We now live in Abingdon, a whopping 8 miles from J-Towne. I don't see too many old classmates but i still see H.T., Hose, and Tro now and then.
School
I had alot of fun in those days. My favorite part of that time was playing music. It seemed like we were always packing drums and amps into somebody's mo...Expand for more
m's basement,living room, garage, back porch , wherever we could find to play. I quit playing music in '92 but if the right tribute, jam band came along, i would jump in now.
College
I went to Essex Community College from 90-91. Then I graduated from Towson University in '93.
Workplace
I went into the Bricklayers and Allied Craftsmen Union after high school and thought i was going to be a tile man, like so many Joppatowne guys before me. After college, I was a warehouse supervisor for IKEA for a while. Then I went to work for Ryan Homes as a superintendent, building new homes and condos. Left Ryan and went to work for K.Hovnanain Homes, doing the same thing. In 2005, I won the Maryland Homebuilders Association Construction Team of the Year Award.
