Two weeks after graduation in June 0f 1966, I started at New Castle Business College. I received my Associate Degree and graduated in March 1968. I worked for the next 4 1/2 months until I transferred to Ft. Lauderdale University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. I graduated from there with a Bachelor's Degree in Business/Accounting in 1970 (actually finished classes in August 1969, but was part of the 1970 graduating class). When I returned to PA, I started teaching at Garfield Business Institute in Beaver Falls, PA, which was an affiliate school with New Castle Business College. After about 1 1/2 years, when enrollment began to diminish, several of the newer hires lost their jobs. So, I moved on to work for a small company in my home town, but when I became engaged to my present wife of 39 yesrs, I decided to move to the central part of the state and began my career in banking and finance in 1973. After several transfers with my first employer, I took a job with a bank in Harrisburg. I moved to Mount Joy, PA in 1979 and have lived there ever since. I finally retired from the banking industry in June of 2011, but then decided to work with a close friend in the commercial real estate business figuring that my experience in the commercial banking industry would serve me well in this new endeavor. My wife Sarah and I have three grown sons and two grandchildren. I still play golf as often as I can and remain close to my best friend, Jim Brown (also a 1966 classmate).
