David's Story
Life
After high school, I spent 8-1/2 years in the Navy, ultimately serving as an Admiral's Aide. Picked up most of my college credits while in the Navy. Served in the Gulf War. Left under the "early out" program, to rejoin the civilian world.
Worked in the industrial sector for a few years. Moved into the Internet career field almost as soon as commercial use of the Web began. Started and ran my own Web Design firm for a number of years.

o focus more on fatherhood. One of the best decisions I have ever made.
Since '04, I have focused on becoming an expert networker. Nowadays, I give seminars on how to use LinkedIn and have earned a reputation in the Detroit area as the LinkedIn expert. I chair the Business Developement subcommittee at Automation Alley. And I run (with an associate) MotorCityConnect, a Yahoo Group devoted to local area networking among professionals. MCC has seen steady growth and great results for its members.
