I was born a poor black child...no, sorry, that's not right (kudos to those who get the reference)...Born in Germany in a military hospital to a German mom and American soldier dad. My sister was born there the following year. We lived in various places over the years (New Jersey, Ohio, Kentucky), including back in Germany (where my brother was born in 1970) for another 3 years after dad got back from 'Nam, and then we moved to MD when I was 12. Dad retired from the Army here. I went to 11 different elementary and middle schools, but thankfully only one high school (shout out to all my fellow Bobcats.)
