David's Story
Life
I'm living in Saint Paul, Minnesota, which seems like a medium-sized town near to a bigger city. Most of my neighbors were born here and are still hanging out with their high school friends. I find the livibility here much better than Atlanta, other than the long winters. Not as stressful crazy as Atlanta has become. The politics are definitely better.
My wife Elisa, stepdaughter Anna (now 11) and I have been here since 2002, having moved so she could take a job as a voice coach for the Guthrie theater and teaching in the BFA program at the University of Minnesota. (As you can probably imagine, I see a lot of theater.) I get the pleasure of working from home for my employer Sprint Nextel where I am a team leader of 8 in IT networking (data routers & switches).
Elisa recently directed "Much Ado About Nothing" for Shakespeare on the Cape, which was very well received and reviewed.

d that the winters were not going to beat me, so I got some good cold weather clothing. I walk to coffee shop every day, no matter the weather. So far, -24 is the coldest I've experienced, but negative teens are a more typical winter low. At the coffee shop I hang out with some retirees, listen to their stories and talk about local history and happenings.
I visited National Parks as a kid and wanted to continue/share that experience so I take (drag?) my family around visiting the 391 units of the National Park Service. I have a National Parks Passport and Anna and I get our Passport stamped at each of them. I'm not one of the nuts (sorry if that's you!) that has to have every stamp variation (there are 10 alone at the Grand Canyon!), one stamp per park is fine. But I've seen some really beautiful and interesting places. I admit though that many of the Civil War battlefields are not highlights. This summer we were in New England visiting the parks, including Acadia National Park, Concord and Boston.
