David's Story

Life When I finished O'Donel in 1990 the first order of business was to GET OUT OF NEWFOUNDLAND!!! I moved to Chicago and lived with relatives until I got my own place. I partied hard, went to tons of heavy metal concerts and got a real education in the school of hard knocks. I returned to Newfoundland a few years later to go to school, instead I ended up playing drums in a band and played all over Newfoundland butchering KISS,April Wine and Tragically Hip songs. When not doing that I was working at Sam The Record Man at the Village Mall, and falling down the steps at the Cornerstone. I returned to Chicago in 1995 and found myself married with a child within two years. In 2002 we moved to Raleigh, NC where I work for NC State ...Expand for more
University. When not working I'm still behind the drum kit, as I always have been, playing in various bands. I'm still waiting for Ozzy Osbourne to call me to play with him. Until then I will probably settle for having to play "Crazy Train" in some hell hole in North Carolina in front of rednecks throwing bottles at my head while they yell "PLAY SOME SKYNYRD!!" Last year I realized my marriage sucked, so I separated from that she devil (taking my son with me)and moved back in with Mom and Dad. I will be divorced in a few months but I'm still going through the battle. Plus it sucks living with Mom and Dad at age 32, I think the old man still expects me to mow the lawn. It's all good though, I never do things the easy way.
