David's Story
Life
Well, it's been some kind of odyssey since I graduated from West Genny. I bounced back and forth between OCC and Susquehanna University for a few years, and I've now worked for 10 different radio stations in the span of just a few years. No, I'm not unemployable ;-) I'm just moving up the food chain. Right now, I'm the assistant program director at Revolution 103.7 in Chambersburg, PA/Hagerstown, MD, and I also do the evening shift.
College
Well, college was a play in three acts. Act one was my freshman year at Susquehanna. I had four different roommates, I started at 17, and I was just plain not ready. It felt like high school all over again. After my freshman year, I came...Expand for more
home to Syracuse and went to OCC for a year (act two). There I got my mind right, found some of the closest friends I still have to this day, and started to go out and get the things that before I just dreamed about. When I came back to Susquehanna for my junior year (act three), I was able to have a much better experience, made great friends, and had a lot more fun. I spent most of my time at the radio station, if we weren't on the air, we were hanging out and killing time. At the same time, I was working in my chosen field of radio at local stations, and managed to land my first paid DJ job my senior year. I had good and bad times in college, but it certainly went by all too quickly.
