David's Story
Life
I was only at Bedford for my Jr and Sr year as I was one of the base kids. I hung out with jim moffet, diane donner(we were busted skipping school) mark gilmore, sue purdy, sherry jacks, george troutman, ed parrish, among others. Graduated 12 June 69 entered USAF 16 June 69. Not much summer vaation but my Dad got orders to Hawaii and informed me I was not on the manifest to go with them so I had to do something. Spent 22 years in AF started as an Airraft Eletriician worked on B-52's, KC 135, T-29-T 39, F-4, T-38 as well as the C-5A Galaxy. Claim to fame is I worked on the OV-10 aircraft that staffed the big gun that was shooting down our helicopters in the Mayaguez incident. iety of units. The way I describe it is I taught people how to teach people. Married twice 1st time from 1970 to 1973 1 son and 2 daughters, 2nd time 1 daughter. USAF had me at Ill., Tx, Springfield Mass, NM, a place called Nah Khan Phonam (NKP) Thailand, Germany (for 60 days) Pananma city Fl. and a little place about 40 miles north of Las Vegas called Indian springs. Retired got a degree in Accounting and took over my Dad's business and that what I am doing now. Got involved with Sports Officiating while I was in Holoman AFB NM and love it. I now do High School Small college and semi-Pro Football as well as Softball, Basketball, Volleyball,eve Kickball yes Kickball. 12 Grandchildren 6 boys and 6 girls and 1 Great grandchild. Well that's my story short and sweet.
