David's Story
Life
I moved from Iowa to Dallas,Texas in 1983, lived there for 9 years and accepted a job transfer to Los Angeles, California in March of 1992, and have been here since then. The weather here is a happy medium between Iowa and Texas and I can't see myself living anywhere else. As the song says "I Love L.A." The city gets somewhat of a bad rap in the media, but it's a great place to live. I enjoy going back home to visit because my family and longtime friends are there and the bottom line is, "It's Home". In 2006 I worked for a Telecommunications company for 28 years. I'm truly blessed and refreshed!! I'm blessed to have a 24 year old daughter (The miracle of my life) whose a Jr. In college(Computer Science), a 45 year old son and 5 grandchildren (3 boys and 2 girls)., I continue to have my Faith, Family, Flexibilty and Great Friends. My Hero's are my mother and father. My inspiration comes from my belief and faith in God.
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is My Mother, because I miss her words of wisdom. I truly believe ...Expand for more
that the best friends you'll ever have are the first friends you make, this is not to slight any of my recent friends, but the shared memories is priceless.
College Football, Basketball, the NFL and NBA. Almost anything HBO offers, especially, Game of Thrones, Real Time with Bill Maher and Silicon Valley, & The Penguin. I'm working on becoming a better Christian. I suffered 2 strokes
in November of 2017 and an am recovering in a residential care facility. I am in good spirits and have faith, family and good friends to rely on. It's because of them that I'm still here and hopeful.
The true meaning of "Unconditional Love" and to stay in touch with my inner child.
If I won $100 million, I'd give 10% of it to Church, then spend the rest on Family, Myself and The less Fortunate!!.
My current age is 68, and it's such a blessing.
To continue working with people until I can't anymore.
My best friends would tell you I'm loyal, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as strong willed.
Summer vacations in Mississippi or Chicago.
