David's Story
Life
I presently live in Clarksville, TN . I have been working as a freelance artist since 1983 and part-time college art instructor since 1988. I am extremely fortunate in that I love what I do and never intend to retire. When I finally die I will have a paint-brush in my hand, a sculpture-in-progress on the workbench, a website half-designed on my computer and a lecture ready to present.
I have a web-site with my work but can't post it here. If you're curious Google my name and it will pop up.
....and yes, it is "the" Clarksville from "Last Train to Clarksville".
I have been married to my wife Lori for over 30 years and have two married sons in their late twenties, a daughter in high school, and two grandchildren. I spent 4 years as an officer in the active duty army and another 7 in ...Expand for more
the reserves. I've also worked extensively in Boy Scouts since 1979.
In addition to Tennessee I have lived all over the United States, to include Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Virginia, Alabama, Idaho, Utah, California, Washington and of course Alaska. IN addition I have also visited all but 5 of the other states as well as Guam, Mexico, Canada and Italy.
I've had some pretty extensive health problems in the last five years, most involving arthritic inflammation of some sort but overall I can't really complain. Any kind of life beats the alternative.
I enjoy keeping in touch with old friends - I have the memory of an elephant when it comes to kind things done for me - or to paraphrase Paul McCartney wrote : "....the the good you take is equal to the good you make. "
