David's Story
Life
I'm married (21 years) and have 4 kids (2 boys and 2 girls) ages 10 to 28 yrs. old. Didn't finish high school (i regret that). Instead, got my GED then completed a 2 yr. course in Dental Technology at SCCC. I got married, had 1 son and got divorced. Opened my own Dental Lab in Kent, Wash. for a few years and decided to get out and do something else. After seeing the Philippines in 1976, (my dad is from here) I felt one day that I could end up living there, so in 1987 I moved. My 1st reason for doing that was to try and start a business. I ended up getting married and had 3 kids (not all in the same year, hahaha!!). My son from my 1st marriage was raised here in the Philippines since age 7 and is still residing here. He's married and has three sons and one daughter so that makes me a young grandpa. :) I have a daughter who is 20, in college, and is under EMI Records. who is 19 is into karate (now a black belt and member on the Philippine National Team) and we have a 10 yr. old daughter. We started printing T-shirts in 1990. That grew into a retail business in 1994 where we now operate our own retail stores. I stay pretty active here. Play basketball and flag football. Lots of nice beaches (in Cebu) just 30 minutes away from home. I'm frequently in Manila because my daughter's career. I'm her manager. It's been exciting here in the Philippines!
