David's Story
Life
After school I went through a series of dead-end jobs. Currently I am trying to build my own website design company. It's still in the beginning stages so there's not much coming from it yet, but with some effort I will be successful.
A few years ago I came out of the closet to all of my friends and a few family members. It's very liberating. I've had very few negative reactions to it. Perhaps I was more obviously gay than I had thought...
I'm living in Everett, WA, with a (straight) friend of mine that I met a few years ago. I'm close to everything that I need and this place just suits me.
Once a week I do volunteer work for Equal Rights Washington which is a Washington-based, gay rights organization.
School

ut school. At the time it seemed like a waste of time to me. Funny thing is, I don't regret being a slacker back then. Ha! I was also pretty shy in school. I've grown out of that quite a bit. Back in those days you'd often see me sitting by myself in some corner or on the Senior Bench feeling sorry for my lonely self. Now I'm always busy doing something with one friend or another. Funny how things change.
Workplace
I've been through a few jobs since HS. About nine or so. Sheesh! The last four of those were technical support related. I've worked for Freeinternet.com (a.k.a. Freei), HostPro (now Interland), EarthLink, Comcast doing High Speed Internet Support, and Digital Forest for a brief period.
Currently, though, I'm working in carpentry at a small Seattle-based company. I do finish carpentry.
