David's Story
Hello visitors,
It has been a minute since I wrote anything here, and in the interim I've missed a bunch of reunions .....they've razed LMHS, and more. I just retired from the Sheriff's Office here in Houston and we are, well me anyway, FIFTY FOUR (gad....)
Somewhere out there back east I have an ex-wife, and I hope she and her clan are well. I really do.
Here locally, I have another ex-wife, and she is doing well, thank goodness.
My sons are 17 and 15 as we speak, so to say, and are fantastic: great boys, get great grades, don't do anything wrong to speak of, and are crazy good football players. Who knew?? I was the fat eyeglasses wearing brainiac nerd, so this doesn't exactly make sense, but there it is.
My kid brother Brett still lives back home, and he and my Sis both work down in Cincy. They are well and happy and also successful, and thankfully I get to visit with them relatively regularly o...Expand for more
ver these last several years. Mom has been gone, ....as anybody who was close to me back in school knows, and we lost Dad in 2002.
Houston is still home, and I continued in govt until retiring this year, after 29 yrs at the HCSO. I reckon I'll take up something new here after the holidays, and double dip at least till my boys are through university. Then who knows, the plan is to be such that I will have options, .....so we shall see.
I don't run any more, after doing so for nearly 30 yrs, as my back n feet won't tolerate that, so I keep my activity jones satisfied via other fitness pursuits in my free time, ....and other than that I am doing daddy stuff, still THE best work of my life even though (1) my boys are nearly grown and (2) I didn't even start till I was 37 (!!!).
