David's Story

Remember me...I was the kid that made alcohol for his Junior and Senior experiements (an analytical determination of the Ethyl Alcohol content in fermented spirits) and helped to fumigate the school in 1985 using Buteric Acid (remember, the school smelled like baby vomit and we got two days off...while that wasn't me, that was my Industrial Chemistry class). Company is doing great! Over $3.5M in projects scoped for 2010. We put solar control film on large commercial structures to save energy. The cool thing is that I calculate the energy savings and sell the product as an energy control measure to major commercial clients who then make the sale. I make money, they make money and our clients save money. And, oh yes, we retire megawatts of electricity. Now that's a win win win win!!!! Fell 15 feet from a ladder while filming a window on March 24, 2008 to a wood floor. Shattered my heel (took 12 Screws, a plate a bone graph and all the kings men to put me back together again). Surgeon said he's never seen so much damage to a heel without being accompanied by a broken back. Thank God for 20 years in Judo, my ability to fall is the only thing that saved my life and back. I do have a bonus though, now I'm a walking barometer!!! :-) Life My Pets Pooka finally passed on in Spring 2008 after 14 years. Not a very manly animal, or name. Likely the only item of value I got in the divorce many years back... Update...new ...Expand for more
animals. Add, Border Collie Tinker Bell (give me a break, I share it with my 8 year old...she's way cool), German Shepard Natasha, rat snake (albino), and Einstein the ausie/mutt mix...can you tell I got kids? My Kids My ex wife returned to the Mormon church, met a guy on the Internet and, ran off to marry him in Texas. So, I moved in order to stay in my girls lives. In the final analysis, the only thing in this life worth doing is being a good parent. Worked out well! Met my wife Donna, we've been married 8 years now and doing great! Jessie is 20, Abbie is 17 and Tori (victoria) is 13. Highly intelligent and very beautiful all. I have custody of my 17 year old Abigail and 13 year old Victoria. Abbie is number 1 in her Senior class of 415 and Tori is in all AP classes, Jessie is evidently on her way to college in Austin. Have had no contact with Jess since she was 14 due to the Mormon church. I miss her very very much, but what can you do? Just be there and love them unconditionally in the hope that one day they come home. My Job Udate, I now run an energy efficiency contractor, primarily window films. Our name is SolArm and with a bit of web proficiency I bet you can find us... Other jobs have included College Professor, Nuclear Power plants and Nuclear Weapons facilities (all as an environmental scientist) and even did a stint as an industrial Liaison for George Bush when he was still Governor of Texas.
