Life I started on a journey, oh ... some thirty years ago, And quickly faced a choice "two" ways which I could go. One path seemed quite narrow, uphill, straight and plain, A path to be taken all by foot, through desert in need of rain. A stranger beckoned "come with me" for up this path you¿ll see, the most rewarding future, in all eternity. Well the stranger looked concerned for me, but the clothes that he adorned, Were to say the least, resemblance of great burdens he had borne. So I quickly looked away, to a second path to see, A road that went around that hill, with birds and streams and trees. As I stood in awe and wonder of what there was in store, A car pulled up with friendly folk, and opened up their door. Come with us, were having fun, and more along the way, We live life fast and wild and free, that¿s all that I can say. I quickly jumped inside the car, beside a pretty girl, And started down a scenic path in hopes to see the world. The trip was all I imagined, and got better along the way, We hit some bumps and holes and slicks, but never spoiled the day.
