David's Story
To the people who doubted me, thank you for your motivation. To the people who thought I was a loser and thought I would do nothing in my life, thank you for letting me prove you wrong.
Hey everyone, since leaving school I spent several years as a loss prevention detective. I spent alot of time at Cue & Brew in Aberdeen. I still love my sports. I live in North Middletown now for 2 years. It was hard to leave so many great memories behind in Cliffwood Beach, but it was time for change. I spent 3 months in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. It was fun while it lasted, but next time I will keep it as a vacation site.
I currently own a beautifull 2003 Chevy Impala. This ride is everything I wanted and now I got it! I am currently an EMT-B with the Hazlet First Aid & Rescue Squad. I am an extrication technician as well. I enjoy vollunteering my time to help others in need and have dedicated my life to doing so since 4th grade. in 2004 I became the first and only person in my family to donate my kidney. It was donated to my cousin who had kidney failure from diabetis. She and I are doing fantastic!
I am currently going to school to fulfill my dream in becoming a Paramedic. My parents told me when I was young, I could be what ever I want to be when I grow up, never let anyone tell me I can't. Well I have achieved so many goals to this point because I believed that I can be what ever I want to be. Since 2006 I finally settled down on what I wanted to do with my life. I became EMT-B certified, an Ex...Expand for more
trication Technician, 9-1-1 Officer, Emergency Medical Dispatcher, hazmat awareness, a Paramedic Assistant, ICS 100, 200, and NIMS 700 and 800a certified. I know more now then I ever thought I would.
I am a member of The New Jersey Emergency Medical Services Task Force. I currently work full time overnight at Maximum Care Ambulance Service where I am currently an Emergency Medical Dispatcher. I have been here since 2006, spent a year and a half on the road as an EMT-B before getting surgery to repair a herniated disc suffered in a car accident in 2001. I have met so many interesting people since recieving my EMT and have had great people to point me in the right direction. Getting my EMT opened the doors to the success I have enjoyed to this point in my life.
The only thing left is to graduate from OCCC and recieve my Paramedic Certification around summer of 2009. I am still looking for Mrs. Right so I can really settle down and start my own family. I am at that point in my life where I am ready to start thinking about having children and the such.
My life has had many ups and downs. I was a full alcoholic at 20 years old, before my cousin saved my life. If she didn't need that kidney, I would have been a failure. Luckily I realized where I was headed in life and change it then and there. I do drink but at least now I know how to control myself when I do so. I am always down if some old homies want to hang out sometime. Check me out on Myspace, Myspace/rescue3965 thats about it folks...
