David's Story
After graduation from Good Shepherd Lutheran School, I attended Carl Hayden High School for 2 years. My family and I then moved farther north in the summer of 1969, requiring me to attend Central High School for 2 years, graduating in 1971. My sister Marcy died in that same year. I attended Phoenix College for 2 years, starting in the Fall of 1971, studying math, science, social sciences, and general humanities, graduating in 1973. ate University, and earned a Bachelor's and then a Master's degree in music performance, doing a double major in organ and harpsichord for both degrees. In 1984, I began work at First United Methodist church in Phoenix, as organist/pianist/accompanist/handbell director, etc., staying there for 25 and a half years. My Mother died in 2000. In 2002, my brother died, and then after a whirlwind courtship (we knew each other for only 12 days) I married my dear Brenda Jo, who was originally from Texas. Then, in 2010, I got an organist's job in Abilene, Texas (where my wife was born), and I am still living there, and we are very happily married.
