EARNED BS DEGREE FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF DETROIT.
RETIRED IN 1995(THE DETROIT EDISON CO.) I HAVE NOW WORKED 5 YEARS AT MY NEW CAREER AS PRES. AND CEO OF A CORPORATE GUARDIANSHIP AGENCY IN DETROIT, MI (THE METROPOLITAN AGENCY FOR RETARDED).
School
As an orphan (with a younger brother & older sister) my early life was spent in a number of foster homes and later with various relatives. I attended schools in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama & Chicago, Il before getting my HS diploma in 1951. I joined the Navy immediately after High School.
College

Workplace
Graduated from O.M.S. High School in Biloxi, Ms in May, 1951 and immediately moved to Detroit, MI where, in July, 1951, I enlisted in the US Navy. Discharged from the US Navy in July, 1955 in San Diego, CA. and returned to Detroit. Worked as a laboratory technician in an inorganic chemical research lab and subsequently as a customer services quality control specialist for a commercial chemical co. (Harshaw). Started attending college part-time (UNIVERSITY OF DETROIT) in 1958. In 1964 I moved on campus and recieved my Bachelors Degree in 1966.
My professional career has included working as a caseworker and training supervisor for the Mich Dept of Soc Services and as a Human Resources manager for a large Public Utility company. Retired in 1995. Since 1995, I have been the Pres & CEO of an agency that serves as the Public Guardian for approximately 600 developmentally disabled adults. Retired for the second time in 2007.
