David Harris:  

Life David E. Harris (Dave), Class of 72, living in Houston (Still since 78), married 40 yrs. to Vicky J. Byers (Ames, IA.), One Son (Ryan) 30 yrs. old, who lives in Spring Texas with his beautiful wife, my daughter-in-law, Danielle McQuarry Harris and the most beautiful grandson in the world, Hudson Wyatt Harris. Very active in the United Methodist Church, both locally and at the Conference Level (Memorial Drive United Methodist Church). My wife Vicky (Ames High School 72 Ames, Iowa), is Director of Spiritual Formation, including all (23) Adult Sunday School Classes, as well as (8) different Adult Bible Study Programs. At the age of 40, I went through my Mid-Life Crisis and changed Careers; after spending 18 yrs. in the Advertising Business Field, I found myself jumping into the Computer Technology Field with 10 Million of my Closest Friends, but it has been very exciting and rewarding. Then at 57, I felt God calling me to be His "Hands & Feet" for those who have way less than me and join Together in Hope to try and help people help themselves. We have started Elementary Schools in Dire Dawa (Ethiopia), Alta Mira Flores (El Salvador), Malis & Bicol (Philippines). Our present task is to build a 6,000 sq. ft. two-story Community Center which will house a edical Clinic and Jr./Sr. High School(s) Classes. It will be called Hope Community Center and will enable 30,000 families medical & nutritional aid that they presently are without. My Parents still live in the same house we grew-up in on Wonder Dr. and my Brothers: Larry (Paschal 68) lives in San Antonio, Rick (S.West 70) still lives in Ft. Worth, Jeff (S.West 76) lives in Sulphur Springs and Teaches. We have inherited a Beautiful Daughter-In-Law (Danielle McQuarry Harris), and one precious Granddog, Lola who is a "Tea-Cup" Chiu...Expand for more
