David's Story

Life I joined the Army a few months after graduation, and retired in 2014 after 26 years. Those who knew me in school surely consider that an odd career choice for the shy, book-wormish, not-particularly-athletic boy I was, but it was a blast. I've lived in Hawaii, Georgia, Arizona, Korea, and Colorado, deployed to Iraq twice, and visited many oth...Expand for more
er places. I worked in the government sector after retirement, but have recently decided to finish my degree, something I meant to do decades ago. So I'll be University of Colorado Denver's newest freshman in the Spring 2025 semester, finishing my Anthropology BA. I'm excited to get that whole full-time college student experience for the first time!
