David's Story
Life
I'm a writer.
Professionally, I write for NASA, which, those who knew me in school, will realize I think is really, really cool. I'm an education writer at Marshall Space Flight Center, creating features for the student and teacher sections of the NASA homepage.
Semi-professionally, my first book is scheduled for publication in September 2008, and, when things get a bit more settled, I'm going to get really serious about my second book. Promise.
And, then, in my free time, I write some more -- a blog, a weekly webcomic, what have you.
Beyond that, I'm a member of a local improv comedy troupe, Face2Face Improv, which is a ton of fun -- come check us out -- and I volunteer at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center, dusting artifact...Expand for more

School
High school? What can I say? I went, but that was a long time ago, huh?
College
I went to the University of Mississippi, where I majored in journalism, and spent way too much time in the basement of Farley Hall, working on the student newspaper, The Daily Mississippian.
Workplace
Uh, I guess I covered most of my current work stuff in the Life section. Before coming back to Huntsville in aught-two, I spent about six years wandering around Mississippi, working at a series of small-town newspapers, which was a fun experience. In one particularly neat misadventure, I was actually the editor of my own paper for some months. How many people can say that? I miss newspapers sometimes, but I've gotten to old for it, I'm afraid.
