David's Story
Life
I dropped out of college after the first semester, and worked three years as a radio, TV and Hi-Fi technician.
The next 23 years were spent in the analog electronic components business where I worked my way up the Engineering ranks to become Director of Engineering of a 300-person company.
In 1979, I became a software consultant, consulting mostly for Hughes Aircraft in the area of Air Defense. I spent three years working on the refurbishment of the AC-130 Gunship software in the late eighties.

nsulting again for Hughes Aircraft, until in 1996 they persuaded me to become a direct employee.
Since 1998, I have been part of L3-Comm, doing tactical communications software for the military.
I have been married to Audrey Renich for 45 years, who bore me nine beautiful children. Eight of them are married, and have brought us 24 grandchildren.
My work took us to Italy for 2.5 years, Seattle for 2.5, Massachusetts for 7.5, and Alabama for ten. The rest of the time was spent in Southern California. We still own a home in Whittier.
