David's Story
Life
After grad from North Park in 1964 moved to Thunder Bay, Ont. and completed an MA in Clinical Psychology at Lakehead University.Worked for 20 yrs at Lakehead Psychiatric Hospital as a psychometrist and then for 10 years as the hospital's Director of Educational Services. Met the love of my life,Laurie in 1971, been happily together ever since, have one daughter Raeghan age 25. Laurie was a paediatrics nurse for many years and now is Coordinator of the Telemedicine Program at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre in Thunder Bay. Raeghan became a teacher but did not enjoy it and now has gone back to college to become an instructor in travel and tourism. time as an employee assistance counselor for the Behavioural Sciences Centre, mostly doing couple and family therapy work.Have traveled alot with my family to places like Europe( Britain, Holland, Germany, Italy, France,Austria, Switzerland,and Greece.), the Caribbean and Hawaiian Islands. My hobbies are reading, amateur acting(got my start at NPC!), wilderness canoeing, kayaking,public speaking,and languages (fluency in French and Russian, some Italian and Greek).Have not been in touch much with NPC alumni or old teachers( who must be really old or departed by now!). Would love to hear from any of the old gang who I studied with, acted with,did sports with, and had clandestine romances with(that means I was interested, but probably too shy to speak up and tell you I liked you!).
