David's Story
Life
I left school with a half year til graduation. I went on active duty in the Navy for almost 2 years and 2 years in the reserves. I was able to travel to Hawaii, Hong Kong, Philippines, Singapore, Chicago, San Diego, San Francisco, I was stationed on air craft carriers for half of my active duty.
My wife, Jean (Bartz) and I have been married for 49 years.
We have a daughter who is an elementary principal in Rochester,MN .
And we have a son who works at Northern Brewers in Minneapolis. They have provided us with 3 grandchildren and what a true blessing they are.
We live in the between Princeton and Milaca about 55 miles north of Minneapolis. We started a printing company -Select Print and after 20 years we sold the company. Being self employed sure has its ups and downs, mostly ups, but sometimes the hours got long.

d hunting are things I enjoy, Deer hunting is probably the most favorite. When a person first starts hunting the goal is to harvest a deer, after a few are harvested, just being in the woods, and watching the sun come up, and the quietness, and the birds, mice and other animals getting ready for the day are really neat experiences. I was able to retire at age 58, and enjoying it greatly. I have been retired for a little over
12 years. I did some census work in 2000 and do some volunteer work and active in Church been re elected for a total of 10 years as council president.
Military
I served in the U.S. Navy Reserves. It was 1 year inactice, 2 years active duty, and 2 years inactive. I traveled to Japan, Hong Kong, Phillipines, and California. I was stationed aboard
the aircraft carriers, Bonne Homme Richard, Coral Sea, Ticondaroga, Enterprise.
