David's Story

Graduated from Pitt as a Metallugical Engineer in Dec. 1963. Then 2 years in the Army including an all expense paid tour of the Far East. Started work as a metallurgist with Allegheny Ludlum Steel near Albany, NY. Stayed in the same field and area working for GE, Westinghouse, CBS, Viacom and Bechtel. Retired in 2004 and enjoying it. in 1976 and we had 2 sons. The older boy is a Civil Engineer in Austen, TX. The younger one has a masters in history and is going back to school for education. Maggie retired from teaching in 2005. Since then we have traveled and enjoyed skiing, working out at the Y, gardening and doing the things we wanted to do but couldn't while we were working.
